Kazan is already in top-three the most popular cities for tourist in Russia, according to the ranking of the Russian National tourist office.
At the moment there are a lot of projects around touristic strategy of Kazan and the Republic of Tatarstan. The vast majority of them are running for improvement of touristic infrastructure, identity development, and international promotion. But all of these measures are working for the economic success of the Republic of Tatarstan, and also for its social wellbeing. At the same there are very few projects around environmental aspects of the rapidly developing tourism. But if Kazan’s people intend to grow in sustainable way in next decade, principles of sustainable tourism must me implemented. As far as now the vast majority of tourist arrive in Kazan by plane, the first sustainable solution could be realization of the project of high-speed railway from Moscow to Kazan.
Overall, the forecast of the future of Kazan is optimistic, especially, comparing with other regions of Russia during this crisis time. Current projects and targets will continue drive the Republic of Tatarstan and Kazan on their way to success.
